5K Running Plan - Week 1
Just completed week one of my 'learn to run' plan. Do I feel any better at running? No! Maybe need a few more weeks for it to kick in! 3 months from today I need to be able to run 5k.... here's hoping! Have a health test on Saturday so hoping for a good score but expecting a not so wonderful one. Either way, it should spur me on to get healthy. Just need to cut the junk food! BooHoo!

Update
So, I have been rubbish at keeping up with my blog (and my diet). It's been a long, busy winter and I have had my hand in the chocolate pot a little too often!
However, I have made some progress towards my resolutions. I have been reading a lot more and finished several great books. I have signed up for a 5k and am slowly increasing my running stamina.... the race is in July so I will be upping the ante and as the weather gets nicer there will be more incentive to run outside. I have lost 3 pounds (which I am sure I've gained back today, as the Easter bunny has stopped by). Even though things aren't showing up on the scales, my clothes fit a lot better so all these sessions at the gym seem to be paying off. If I could cut out the crappy food I would be on the road to my goals!

and so it begins....
Weight (as of Wednesday 4th January): 13st3lbs or 185 pounds (21 pounds to go!)
My diet is off to a pretty crap start. Ordered an Indian last night and have been polishing off the leftover chocolate....
On a positive note, I have been to the gym 3 times this week (go me!) for 40 minutes each time. Am aiming to do a 5K in July so have been 'learning to run' on the treadmill and am up to 20 minutes - walk for 2 run for 3 x 4. Might even get up early and do a Legs, Bums and Tums class in the morning. Although I haven't slept in for a week so we'll see!!!!
